We are seeking a qualified Salesclerk to support the daily operations and activities at Al-Rashid Building Materials.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with customers and effectively organizing product displays. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting them with their purchasing decisions, managing inventory of received products, and performing tasks such as sorting, loading, unloading, and restocking shelves as necessary. Additionally, you will be required to operate the POS system to process payments and handle refunds.

Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist them in finding products, and provide information about merchandise.
- Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately using cash registers or point-of-sale systems, handling cash, credit, and debit card payments.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of the products and services offered, including features, benefits, and pricing.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise on the sales floor, ensuring that products are displayed attractively.
- Sales Goals: Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store.
- Customer Assistance: Address customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the sales area clean, organized, and visually appealing, including restocking shelves and arranging displays.
- Promotions and Marketing: Inform customers about current promotions, sales, and loyalty programs to encourage purchases.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other sales staff and management to create a positive shopping experience.
- Reporting: Assist in maintaining sales records and inventory counts, reporting discrepancies to management.
Qualification & Experience:
- High School Diploma or Higher
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly convey information to customers and understand their needs.
- Customer Service Orientation: A friendly and approachable demeanor to provide excellent service and build customer relationships.
- Attention to Detail**: Careful attention to pricing, inventory, and customer requests to ensure accuracy and satisfaction.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a calm and effective manner.
- Basic Math Skills: Proficiency in handling cash transactions, making change, and processing payments accurately.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve store goals.
- Time Management: Efficiently managing time to handle multiple tasks, such as restocking shelves and assisting customers.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing situations, such as busy periods or new product launches.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail technology.
- Sales Goals Awareness: Understanding of sales targets and motivation to meet or exceed them.
- Professional Appearance: Maintaining a neat and professional appearance that reflects the store's brand.
